The Town of Davidson Offices Close for Martin Luther King, Jr. Holiday on January 21

The Town of Davidson offices, including town hall at 216 South Main Street and the parks and recreation department at 865 South Street, will be closed Monday, January 21 in observance of the Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday. We will re-open Tuesday, January 22 for our regular 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. business hours. 

MLK Day Breakfast
Community members are invited to the Town of Davidson’s inaugural Martin Luther King Jr. event in the Davidson Town Hall Board Room on Monday, January 21 from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m. We are honored to bring the community together to celebrate the life and work of Martin Luther King Jr.

The event will include:

  • A light breakfast
  • Spoken word
  • Guest speaker, Tracy Mattison Brandon

Additional parking is available in the school parking lot at 251 South Street.
Garbage and Recycling
Garbage and recycling will be collected on the regular schedule the week of January 21. Please note that Waste Pro adjusted their recycling collection schedule starting in January, so please visit www.townofdavidson.org/GarbageSchedule to print a copy. Check your fall 2018 newsletter for the insert containing the new recycling calendar; you may also pick up a copy of the 2019 recycling calendar card at town hall. The week of January 21 is a recycling week.
