New Route Added to "Saturday Shuttle"
Now Serves Eastern and Western Parts of Town
The Town of Davidson is pleased to announce the expansion of our “Saturday Shuttle” program to help transport citizens to downtown Davidson on Saturdays in September and October. The shuttle, (our Parks & Recreation bus), will operate two routes effective September 17, 2016. Route 1 will run a loop from the River Run athletic field to the Farmer’s Market lot. Route 2 will run a loop from Davidson Landing to the Farmer’s Market lot.
Route 1 will pick up at the River Run athletic fields at the following times:
10: 30 a.m. and
Route 1 will depart from the Farmer’s Market lot on Main Street at the following times:
11:15 a.m. and
There will be two additional stops as needed on Route 1. They are:
Concord Road and Kimberly Road (pick-up at approximately 8:35 a.m., 9:35 a.m., 10:35 a.m., 11:35 a.m.)
Concord Road and St. Alban’s Lane (pick-up at approximately 8:40 a.m., 9:40 a.m., 10:40 a.m., 11:40 a.m.)
Route 2 will pick up at Portside Drive in Davidson Landing at the following times:
10:00 a.m. and
Route 2 will depart from the Farmer’s Market lot at the following times:
10:45 a.m. and
There will be two additional stops as needed on Route 2. They are:
Jetton Street and Davidson Gateway Drive (pick-up at approximately 8:50 a.m., 9:50 a.m., 10:50 a.m.)
Griffith Street and Lakeside Avenue (pick-up at approximately 9:05 a.m., 10:05 a.m., 11:05 a.m.)

We are not able to accommodate pets or children requiring car seats.
“We’ve had citizen inquiries about the town offering a local shuttle service after the success of our trolley service during Christmas in Davidson and the April is for Arts Gallery Crawl,” said Economic Development Manager Kim Fleming. “The first two weeks of our pilot program have gone so well that we’ve been able to add a new route on the west side of town – we encourage you to leave your car at home and ride the shuttle.”
