More Improvements for Roosevelt Wilson Park: Work to Begin the Week of February 29
The Town of Davidson is continuing to make improvements to Roosevelt Wilson Park located at 420 Griffith Street. In this phase, we will contract with Charlotte Patio and Walls to demolish the asphalt walkway and install pervious pavers at the northeast end of Roosevelt Wilson Park. Work is scheduled to start on Monday, February 29, with an expected completion in early May. Working hours will be Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m.to 5:00 p.m.
The benefits of the project are:
• Erosion along the pond bank will be controlled
• Failed asphalt pavement will be replaced with an attractive, environmentally-friendly pervious paver product
• New benches will be installed
• New turf and landscaping, with an irrigation system, will be added to the northern part of the park
The town will install safety fencing around the work area to ensure public safety. The causeway and sidewalk along Griffith Street will remain open throughout the project.
