Mecklenburg County Offers Halloween Safety Tips
With Halloween right around the corner, the Town of Davidson would like to remind residents of some safety suggestions from Mecklenburg County Public Health for how residents can enjoy this annual tradition while still keeping in mind concerns regarding the transmission of COVID-19. Please be mindful of all current restrictions such as mask wearing and physical distancing.
While holidays are traditionally times for friends and family to gather, there are several Halloween activities that are not recommended. In particular, any type of gathering that does not adhere to the 3 Ws (wear a mask, wait at a social distance, wash your hands) and thereby increases the risk of exposure to COVID-19 should be avoided, both during Halloween and afterwards.
To help with navigating the holidays safely, Mecklenburg County Public Health has produced a helpful flyer with Dos and Don’ts to keep in mind. You can access that flyer here or by clicking on the image above. The department has a COVID-19 hotline at 980-314-9400, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday, 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
Stay safe, Davidson, and Happy Halloween!
