The Town of Davidson Offices Close for Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday on January 20
The Town of Davidson offices, including town hall at 216 South Main Street and the parks and recreation department at 865 South Street, will be closed Monday, January 20 in observance of the Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday. We will re-open Tuesday, January 21 for our regular 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. business hours.
MLK Day Celebration: Community members are invited to the second annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. celebration in the Davidson Town Hall Board Room. We are honored to bring the community together to celebrate the life and work of this inspirational individual.
This year’s event will include:
- Light refreshments
- Spoken word, Ms. Chandra DuBose and Mr. Maurice J. Norman, Cornerstone Poets
- Guest speaker, Rev. Anthony Davis, Pastor, Reeves Temple AMEZ
Garbage and Recycling
Garbage and recycling will be collected on a regular schedule the week of January 20. Check your fall 2019 newsletter for the insert containing the new recycling calendar; you may also pick up a copy of the 2020 recycling calendar card at town hall or access it HERE.
