Communications

Overview


The communications department produces the town's quarterly newsletter (arrives in the mail in January, April, July, and October), maintains the town's website and online community calendar, produces and issues town press releases, maintains the town's social media sites (Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram), sends frequent eCrier emails filled with news and information, produces or reviews all other print and electronic communications for the town, and manages emergency communications. 

 The two core values that the public information department embraces are:
  • Citizens are the heart of Davidson, so town government will treat all people fairly, with courtesy and respect.
  • Open communication is essential to an engaged citizenry, so town government will seek and provide accurate, timely information and promote public discussion of important issues.
