Town of Davidson Announces New Town Manager: James (Jamie) Justice
The Davidson Mayor and Board of Commissioners are pleased to announce James (Jamie) Justice as the new Davidson Town Manager to replace Leamon Brice upon his retirement. He will begin work on November 16, 2015.
Jamie Justice has served as the assistant town manager for Matthews, NC since 2008. Previously, he had served for 11 years as town manager for Mooresville, NC and Troy, NC. Jamie has a B.A. in political science from Methodist University and a master of public administration in city/county management from Appalachian State University. He is married, has two children, and enjoys playing with his two boys, reading, and all sports.
“Davidson's Commissioners and I have worked diligently in a national search environment to find the right person to succeed Leamon Brice as town manager,” said Mayor John Woods. “We unanimously and enthusiastically chose Jamie for this positon. Our community has grown steadily, and at times dramatically, in the past twenty-five years, and we are confident Jamie is the right choice to lead us in a time when more population growth is expected. We very much appreciate Leamon’s service to our town.”
