Special Concert to Honor Town Manager Leamon Brice POSTPONED TO OCTOBER 18
The special concert on the green to honor Town Manager Leamon Brice as he approaches his retirement, originally scheduled for Sunday, October 4, has been moved to Sunday October 18 at 6:00 p.m., due to the impending weather.
In addition to the concert, we will present Leamon with a memory box filled with items from citizens to thank him for over 25 years of service to our town. If you are interested in contributing an item (letter, email, photo, etc.) for the memory box, please provide it to us at town hall or via email at email@example.com by Friday, October 16.
“Based on the weather reports and the rain associated with Hurricane Joachin, we thought it best to move the celebration,” said Mayor John Woods. “All citizens are encouraged to attend this send-off event to say farewell to Leamon, thank him for his impressive and effective service to Davidson, and wish him well.”
The Fretnecks, a Charlotte-based classic rock band, will play music that pays tribute to the biggest classic rock bands of the 70s and 80s, including the iconic sounds of Creedence Clearwater Revival, John Fogerty, The Eagles, Tom Petty, ZZ Top, and others.
Please pack a picnic or purchase your food at one of our many local dining establishments, and join us on the green for a fun celebration in honor of Leamon.
