Afterschool Basketball 

Coach Kyle Verlin is a Davidson Elementary School teacher with over 15 years’ experience working with children and young adults in the classroom and on the basketball court. This 5-week program will focus on developing a player’s basketball “IQ” and skill development in a fun, positive environment. This program will involve drills that work on both team and individual skills, as well as offensive and defensive team concepts. All abilities welcome!

Family Sushi 101

Have you ever wanted to roll your own sushi but felt intimidated by the ingredients or the process? Sabi Asian Bistro’s manager, Ken Song, would love to share his experience with you and your family. Sushi 101 will teach you the basics of sushi.  Learn the difference between types of sushi, how to select sushi-grade fish, where to buy ingredients, how to make rice, and finally how to make two different kinds of basic rolls that you will get to prepare and eat. Fee is per pair so grab your favorite family member or friend and come learn how to make sushi. Participants must be 8 or older, and minors must be accompanied by an adult.

Earth Day Fair

Earth Day is celebrated annually around the world on April 22. Join the Town of Davidson for an Earth Day Fair at the Davidson Farmer's Market on Saturday April 20 (9:00 a.m. - noon). 

The 2019 Earth Day Fair will feature:
     -A Bike/Walk to the Market Challenge

     -See the Parks & Recreation vehicle, the ELF     
     -A visit with a local beekeeper
     -Information about recycling correctly and solar power
     -A visit with local author Tia Capers
     -Davidson Lands Conservancy and Trees Davidson
     -World of Wondering children’s activities
     -More!

Davidson Town Day 

Join us for Town Day from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 4, 2019 on the town green. We encourage all citizens to walk or ride a bike (May is National Bike Month) to the green. We’ll have police officers stationed at key intersections to ensure safety. Ride your bike and park it in the ‘Bike Corral’ near the Town of Davidson’s booth. This year's town day event will include various non-profits providing activities for the family, performances by local performing arts businesses, and food vendors.

Pre-Summer Preschool Camps

Your older kids are still in school and your preschooler is already bored.  Send him/her to play while you prepare for the summer. Art, music, science, games and a lot of fun are waiting. Please dress for mess and pack a lunch each day.
