Arbor Day Celebration

Please join us to celebrate Arbor Day on Friday, March 22, the same day it will be celebrated throughout North Carolina. Arbor Day is designated to encourage individuals and groups to plant and care for trees. Participants will receive a free tree seedling or a tree cookie. Citizens are invited to a brief ceremony at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 22 at Roosevelt Wilson Park, located at 420 Griffith Street.

Hot Shots Competition

The Cornelius PARC and Davidson Parks and Recreation Departments are proud to bring you the 4th Annual Hot Shots Challenge!

Basketballs will be available for use, participants are not permitted to use their own ball, and tennis shoes are required. Prizes will be awarded to the top three participants in each age group.  Boys and girls will compete separately in each division.

Location:    Bailey Road Recreation Center
Time:          9:00-10:30 a.m. (Boys/Girls 7-8, 9-10)
                   10:30-11:30 a.m. (Boys/Girls 11-12, 13-15)

Pitch, Hit, Run Competition

Join the Town of Davidson and Town of Cornelius Parks and Recreation Departments for the Major League Baseball Pitch, Hit & Run (PHR). This event is a FREE exciting skills event providing boys and girls the opportunity to compete in four levels of competition including Team Championship events at all 30 Major League ballparks and the National Finals at the MLB All-Star Game. Registration will be live on March 22.
