Walk with a Doc
Walking for as little as 30 minutes a day can have enormous health benefits. Walking was recently recognized by the Surgeon General of the United States as one of the single most important things we can do for our health. Will you join us in making health and happiness accessible to all? Bring the whole family and the dog but just come and join your fellow citizens in improving the health of our community.
A doctor gives a brief presentation, on a pertinent health topic, and then leads participants on a walk, at their own pace, engaging walkers and answering questions. Healthy snacks, coffee, water, and blood pressure checks are offered free of charge.
