Sewing for Your Home

Participants will learn techniques such as cutting squares, applique, and more. Projects will include pillows and specialized window treatments. This course is taught by longtime seamstress Katie Chichester. Call 704-892-3349 if you need a loaner sewing machine. Supply list will be emailed to all participants.

A Journey Through Separation and Divorce

This one-evening class will be broken into three topics and is a great class to help you through the journey after a separation or divorce. The instructor will guide you through this journey step by step.

     1 - The Roller Coaster Ride
     2 - The Truth About Kids and Divorce
     3 - Recreating Your Life After Divorce

Creating an Edible Landscape

In this workshop, you will learn how to transform your landscape into one that produces nourishing food and herbs while benefiting pollinators. You will be introduced to permaculture and learn how to apply these principles in order to properly place edibles within your landscape for optimum productivity.

Babysitter's Training

This American Red Cross course has an interactive, educational format that tasks youth, ages 11-15, with activities such as identifying safety problems around the house and yard, and selecting age-appropriate toys and games for children in their care. Participants learn by doing through hands-on skills and interaction.

Hot Shots Basketball Competition

The Cornelius PARC, Huntersville Parks and Recreation, and Davidson Parks and Recreation Departments are proud to bring you the 2nd Annual Hot Shots Challenge.

This year's event will take place at the Belk Arena on the campus of Davidson College. Basketballs will be available for use, participants are not permitted to use their own ball, and tennis shoes are required. Prizes will be awarded to the top five participants in each age group. Boys and girls will compete separately in each division. Registration begins on Monday, March 6.
