Sustainable Yoga

Sustainable Yoga is designed for older adults however, all are welcome. Classes are modified to accommodate the needs of every body. Come for flexibility, strength and relaxation. Leave with a smile!

Essential Oils 101

Local residents are invited to a health and wellness class to learn more about incorporating therapeutic-grade essential oils into their health and wellness routines. Class participants will learn how to safely and effectively use essential oils.

Cultivating Resilience Through Creativity

Change, loss, and transition are difficult. Learn to identify and develop key resiliency factors in your life that will allow you to successfully travel through obstacles and challenges. Together we will create Journey Circle Collages to explore areas of strength upon which to build a supportive web for wholehearted living in changing times. Led by Karen Perrell Campbell, Seeds for Change Creative SoulCraft.

Dr. Jodie's Hand-on Cooking

Get in touch with your food! These hands-on cooking classes are designed to be easy and healthy. We will be using foods that are anti-inflammatory and gluten-free.

Afterschool Lacrosse

Coach Robert Coscia will coach this fun, introductory recreational program for boys and girls. Children will participate in games and drills designed to develop the fundamental skills required for the sport in a positive atmosphere. No experience is necessary. Participants are required to bring their own lacrosse sticks.
A Davidson Parks and Recreation (DPR) staff member can pick up students who attend Davidson Elementary and walk with them to the field.

Therapeutic Recreation

Therapeutic Recreation is available through Mecklenburg County Parks and Recreation. Davidson, Cornelius, and Huntersville have partnered with the county to provide some programs in the northern part of the county. Performing Arts Club and Game Night are a few of the upcoming programs that will take place at the North Meck Senior Center.
