Citizens Invited to Public Information Session on Greenways/Trail Connections in Davidson and Region:
Wednesday, September 28 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

Citizens are invited to a public information session to learn more about greenways and trail connections in Davidson and the region on Wednesday, September 28 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. in the Davidson Town Hall board room located at 216 S. Main Street. The purpose of this session is to educate our citizens about our greenways and gather feedback to inform our greenway master plan process.

Here’s the agenda:

6:30 p.m. Open House for citizens to view maps and plans, and ask questions

7:00 p.m. Presentation on Davidson’s greenways and trail plans

7:20 p.m. Presentation on Cornelius’s connections to Davidson and routes to be used for pedestrian transportation

7:30 p.m. Mecklenburg County staff will discuss county greenways and connections that affect Davidson

7:40 p.m. Question and answer period

7:50 p.m. Open House for citizens to view maps and plans, and ask questions

“As our core values state, ‘Davidson’s citizens need to move easily throughout the town and region, so we will provide a variety of options, such as greenways,’” said Davidson Parks & Recreation Director Kathryn Spatz. “Greenways are also a focus of our Davidson Game Plan, so we look forward to gaining citizen input on our current and proposed system and look forward to working with the county to evaluate the opportunities and accelerate the construction of our greenways.”
