Information Kiosks are Operational:
Help to Promote Davidson Businesses
The Town of Davidson is pleased to announce the addition of two information kiosks to our downtown area. These kiosks look like old-fashioned red telephone booths; one is located on the corner of North Main Street and Depot Street and the other is on South Main Street in front of South Main Square. They contain information touchscreens with details on lodging, shopping, dining, and events, and are geared toward helping promote our Davidson businesses in the historic downtown, South Main Street, Circles @ 30, and North Harbor areas.
“We are so pleased that these kiosks are finally operational,” said Economic Development Manager Kim Fleming. “They are part of the business retention strategy outlined in our economic development strategic plan and will be useful to visitors and residents.”
"We are very appreciative of the town's efforts to bridge the gap between North and South Main Street businesses,” said Doug Surratt, owner of Carrburritos Taqueria. “The new kiosks will give visitors who are unfamiliar with Davidson an opportunity to see the many restaurant, retail, and lodging options we have to offer."
