Davidson Board of Commissioners Seek New Town Attorney
The Town of Davidson Board of Commissioners seek a new town attorney to provide professional legal services and solicits proposals from interested persons/firms for the provision of professional legal services as the Davidson Town Attorney pursuant to N.C.G.S. §160A-173 (http://www.ncleg.net/EnactedLegislation/Statutes/HTML/ByChapter/Chapter_160A.html).
Through a Request for Proposals (RFP) process, persons or firms interested in appointment must prepare and submit a proposal in accordance with the procedure and schedule stated in the RFP.
The Davidson Board of Commissioners intend to consider persons/firms who possess the professional and administrative capabilities to provide the proposed services. Factors that will be considered by the commissioners in their appointment may include communication skills, experience, reputation within the profession, knowledge of local government law, availability and accessibility to accommodate required meetings of the commissioners or town staff, and other factors that the board of commissioners determines to be in the best interest of the Town of Davidson.
Completed proposals must be submitted and received by the Town Manager at P.O. Box 579, 216 S. Main Street, Davidson, NC 28036, by 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 3, 2016. Selection of a Davidson Town Attorney is at the sole discretion of the Davidson Board of Commissioners, and the town attorney shall serve at the pleasure of the board of commissioners.
