Davidson Police Department Increases Enforcement in Town
The Davidson Police Department will increase the enforcement of speed limits, school bus passing, school zones, and crosswalk violations in town in an effort to protect all of our citizens – pedestrians, bicyclists, and motorists. The majority of the speed limits in town are 25 miles per hour.
“This is timed with the start of school,” said Davidson Police Chief Penny Dunn. “Remember 25 means 25 and we want everyone to be safe drivers, bicyclists, and pedestrians. We have seen a recent increase in auto-pedestrian collisions and near-misses while pedestrians were crossing properly in crosswalks.”
The enforcement of state traffic laws and town ordinances include:
