Potts Sloan Beaty Street Corridor Land Use Plan

The Potts Sloan Beaty St, Corridor Land Use Plan was initiated by the town to study ways to alleviate traffic congestion along streets, especially Main Street (Highway 115) by allocating and distributing traffic on an alternate north/south corridor. The plan was adopted by the Board of Commissioners in May 2007.

Objectives
The following are the objectives of the Potts-Sloan-Beaty Street Corridor Land Use Plan:
  • Ensure the quality of life for neighborhood residents
  • Help grow economic development in Davidson
  • Accommodate current and future traffic demand
  • Create sustainable design and engineering
  • Establish a green and safe pedestrian/bike-friendly traffic calmed environment
  • Connect contiguous neighborhoods and commercial districts
