The Davidson Board of Commissioners approved the Davidson COVID Business Support Grant at their December 8 meeting in an effort to support local businesses who have been impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic and its accompanying restrictions. The board allocated $40,000 to support local businesses which have expenses directly related to the COVID-19 pandemic. Of the grant, Mayor Rusty Knox said, “Our businesses are a central part of our community. They have shown resilience during this pandemic but need help to operate safely this winter. We hope that this grant will provide the necessary funds to help them stay open.”
Qualifying businesses located in Davidson's commercial districts can apply for up to $4,000 in grant funds to be used for COVID related items which help keep their businesses operating.
