The Centralina Council of Governments (CCOG) is the state-designated, lead regional organization for the area in and around Charlotte. It serves as a conduit of grants, a staff resource for members, and a forum for local governments to address current problems and future needs.
Centralina was formed in 1968 and is 1 of 17 North Carolina COGs. Funding comes from member dues, state and federal grants, and fees for services. The Board of Delegates, comprising elected officials from the (Member Governments) counties, cities, and towns in the nine counties, sets COG policies.
