Project Info

  • Project Name: Potts/Sloan/Beaty Connector Project
  • Cost: $2.2 Million 
  • Funding Source: Bonus Allocations - North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT)
  • Funding Status: Approved 
  • Management Agency: North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT)
  • Project Description: The Potts/Sloan/Beaty Connector project will include three parts. Part one will be a connector road that will connect Potts Street to Sloan Street. This will be a new connection that does not currently exist. Part two will include the building of a roundabout at the intersection of Sloan Street, Griffith St, and Beaty St. Part three is a multi-use path along the corridor.
  • Current Status: Public meetings are currently being held to review this project. NCDOT hosted a public meeting at CorneDone Editinglius Town Hall on October 5, 2017. Town Manager Jamie Justice, NCDOT, and consultant Kimley-Horn presented information at the October 24 and November 14, 2017 Davidson Board of Commissioners meetings. 
  • Sister Project: NCDOT is proposing an improvement to the intersection of Hwy 115 and Potts Street in Cornelius. Information is available here
